Traveling to Shanghai

Today I spent most of the day on a plane flying to Shanghai. As soon as I boarded, I tucked my blanket in, got my eye shades out and plugged my Bose headphones into my iPod. Once we hit cruising altitude I was pretty much asleep and didn't wake up again until about 1 and half hours before we landed.

Everything went smoothly at the airport and I sat in the bar waiting for Glynis and Kevin to meet me. I ordered some lunch and called Ross and while I was speaking to him, I realized that I had left one of my bags on the carosel. I went back through the staff entrance and sure enough it was there sitting on the ground.

I didn't have to wait long until G & K arrived. We then headed to the Maglev train for the journey back to their place. The train was amazing and hit 420 km/hr! Shame the ride only lasted 10 minutes. From the train it was a quick taxi ride to their apartment block - Green Court.

We spent the evening catching up before Kevin headed out to his Mandarin lessons and Glynis and I headed over to Starbucks. We all fell into bed about 9.30pm.
