We jumped in a taxi and headed to Yuyuan Gardens in Old Shanghai. Being Sunday, it was completely over run with tourists (almost all of whom were Chinese). We wove our way through the markets to the center where the entrance to the gardens can be found.
The gardens were beautiful, definitely worth a visit. We wandered through the snaking pathways for an hour or so before fighting our way back through the crowds to Starbucks (yes, they are everywhere). After relaxing for a while over our coffees, we braved the crowds again and headed in a taxi to Xiantindi or French Concession area of Shanghai for lunch.
Again it was pretty busy but we managed to find a spot at Luna to eat. After a great lunch accompanied by a couple of beers (or a rum and coke if your name was Kevin!), we walked up the street to catch the metro home.
In the afternoon, the boys headed back to the massage parlour to get back and shoulder rubs. They were a little disappointed that they were in separate rooms this time! Meanwhile, Glynis made banana bread and began getting dinner ready.
After a great dinner of pork chops, we chatted for a while before heading to bed, tired and happy from another great day in Shanghai.
