Finals

It was a bit of a rough start to the morning being hungover and sleep deprived. Sondra and I managed to drag ourselves to breakfast and onto the bus ready for a day of finals. From the day before, we pretty much knew that we wouldn't get much game time today as the A-team girls were just awesome together so we spent the morning being water girls and helping out Agnes where we could.

The girls did really well and won their first game against Abu Dhabi B convincingly. Abu Dhabi A was the next team they played and probably the first time the shooters on our team really faced some stiff defence. Unfortunately the girls lost this semi-final game but not by much. This meant that they went into the play-off between 3rd and 4th place.

They played an awesome game with Bahrain A to come away with 3rd place. The Doha B team came 4th in the plate final and Doha Youth won the Bowl so overall it was an incredibly successful year for Qatar!!!

Elyse and Alisha came back to the rugby club to watch some of the games and catch up so we spent the afternoon together which was nice. Everyone was pretty much exhausted but the post-game adrenalin kept us going for a couple of hours so we enjoyed a few drinks together before heading back on the buses for the airport.

For some reason when I checked in they gave me an airport lounge pass so Agnes and I headed up there for a bit of quiet time before boarding. We got home about 11.30pm - exhausted but happy!!
