Skytrex adventures!

Today we continued our active weekend. We met up with Julia, Phil, Brian, Sonja, their kids and another family who are friends with Julia at Fogel's for breakfast. From there we drove in convoy to Taman Pertanian Malaysia (a forest reserve) in Shah Alam.

The park is a great location where you can hike, ride bikes or catch a minibus through the park. It also contains Skytrex Adventure - an "eco-recreational cum educational activity which takes participants from tree to tree via a series of aerial obstacles suspended 3 to 22 metres in the air". Basically the park is a kind of adventure park/ team building facility.

All 14 of us undertook the training and then tackled "the big challenge" course. It was really challenging! Everything from walking on thin planks, swinging from rope to rope, flying foxes, climbing rope ladders and lots of other activities all 22m off the ground. Julia and her friend Lyn opted to be the official photographers as they are scared of heights.

It took us about 2 hours to complete the course and we were all exhausted at the end! We headed back to Julia and Phil's place for drinks, a swim, dinner (complete with haggis and Yorkshire puddings) and also to watch the F1 and Premier League football.

It was a great way spend the day and also good way to try out some new things in Malaysia.

(I'm waiting for some photos from Julia before I post one)
