After moving all our stuff, I headed out for coffee and to wander around the shops until Ross met me just before lunch time. We had lunch at Subway and spent the afternoon walking up and down Orchard Road hunting for bargains due to the discounts for the shopping festival.
In the evening, we caught the MRT to City Hall and walked to the Raffles Hotel for what else but a Singapore Sling on the patio - very civilised (see photo)! The cocktail was delicious and we will definitely attempt to make them back in KL. Back on the MRT again and this time we got off at Clarke Quay and had dinner at Breworks - a cool gastropub with good pub food and beers brewed on the premises. I had the Wombat burger complete with beetroot, pineapple and an egg! What I really liked was the fact that they offered two sizes of burgers - the small one was more than enough. Ross opted for the baby-back ribs that were also great.
After walking all day, we were exhausted (again) so rather than catch the train we jumped in a cab to take us back to the hotel and fell into bed exhausted. At least there was no noise or neon tonight!
