A lazy Sunday in Singapore

Again we slept in and spent the morning relaxing in bed catching up on the news. About 11am we ventured out of the room for brunch. Yesterday in our travels we came across the PS Cafe in one of the malls. They offered a great sounding brunch with sausages, wholemeal french toast and fruit compote - yum! We enjoyed our brunch with fresh juices and despite the presence of a fuzzy (aka mouldy!) strawberry on Ross' plate, it was really good.

We had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport so again we headed all the way up to the other end of Orchard Road and discovered a few new malls that we didn't see yesterday. It was a pretty hot day so we were glad to get back to the hotel, get our bags and jump in a taxi.

At the airport, we debated getting a foot massage but decided instead on sushi, coffee and relaxing on the couches in the movie area while doing the WW crossword. Time flew by and before we knew it we were on the plane on our way back to KL.

We landed in KL to a massive lightning storm. After a bit of duty free alcohol shopping, we headed to the Skybus again for the journey home. It was pretty cool being on the bus in the dark while the lightning crashed around us. Once at Sentral Station, we avoided the taxi touts and headed upstairs to catch a legitimate taxi home.

Despite being only a 4 hour drive away, it had taken us 6 and a half hours to get home. I think we will drive next time! But it was a great weekend break.
