More shopping for the ball

After heading to the gym for the first time in a while this morning, I met up with Sonja at midday to head out to Bangsar for lunch with Julia and some much needed dress shopping.

We had lunch at Delicious which was great as always. We then wandered around Bangsar poking our noses in all the shops and boutiques we could find. The first store we went into, Coast, had a beautiful long red silk dress that I loved and it fit me perfectly. It was also on sale - 50% off! I asked them to hold it until we looked at other places.

I tried on a few more things but was starting to find that I couldn't do up many of the dresses because of my wide back (bloody skinny Asians!). Dresses here are just not made for Western frames. After shopping for a while we stopped for coffee and then Julia left us to go pick up Phil from work. Sonja and I continued to explore the boutiques of Bangsar with limited success.

Sonja did find a short black dress that looked great on her and also happened to be 50% off. She got it for an absolute bargain and ended up paying more for a pair of matching earrings than she did for the dress! I went back and tried on the red dress again. The dress is a halter neck with an empire waist line. Both the halter and the waist have ribbons that I assume you tie in a bow - it's a bit much having two ribbons I think so I will take the dress to the tailor and have one of them taken off - probably the one around the waist.

Both Sonja and I went home very happy that we found dresses! I should now be set for both balls coming up. I was also really happy that the red dress matches my favourite red shoes (in the photo) - what a bonus!

Ross and I spent the evening watching more Entourage and had to drag ourselves away again to head to bed.
