Making old things new again

Well, this morning I skipped netball in favour of a sleep in. However, I woke up about 8 so it wasn't really much of a sleep in. I got up and caught up on some emails. Dad had asked about our old laptop and if he could have it for scouts. We hadn't used it for years so I thought I would try to start it up and have a look if it was still OK.

I spent pretty much the rest of the day reformatting the laptop, loading new software and making sure that Windows was up to date. It took ages! I was going to take it to Low Yat for them to do it but I thought I didn't really have much to lose so I found the recovery disk and reformatted the hard disk myself.

About 3, Ross text to say that he was free for coffee so we made plans to meet up at Delicious for afternoon tea. I walked down to Delicious about 3.30 and ordered while waiting for Ross. The afternoon tea is so nice there but I was a bit disappointed that they had finished the carrot cake! We settled for chocolate banana cake instead (basically a chocolate mud cake with whole bananas through it). We managed to finish everything except for the cake which we took home with us.

We walked home in time to watch the AFL game between the Saints and the Bulldogs - what a game! Although the Saintes deserved to win, it was heartbreaking for the Bulldogs who absolutely busted themselves for the entire game to lose by 7 points.

We didn't eat dinner as the afternoon tea defiitely filled us up. A great deal for 68 Ringgit!
