It took my a long time to finish doing all the double loop work and join them together. By the time I finished, the other ladies were also finishing their project, a woven ring. We all worked together on our last task, constructing our graduation piece, a 3 layer necklace. It was fiddly work and took me until 12 to finish. I was really happy with the result and even though we only used plastic beads and pretty crappy findings, I really liked the look of the necklace (see photo) and can imagine how nice it would be with real crystal beads and better quality findings.
Hester, our instructor, was nice enough to arrange the level 2 classes around me to allow me to catch up on the lessons I missed in Singapore. So next week I will have two lessons to finish the 4 tasks I missed.
So after the class I headed off to Ikano Power Center to pick up my handbag that was being fumigated after the cat peed on it! They pretty much got the smell out of it. Well, it's 100% better than it was! While I was there I picked up some cupcakes from Cupcake Chic and also a few groceries before heading home.
Sonja had text me earlier in the day to see if we could catch up for tea so she came over when we got home and we had tea and cupcakes - yum! We chatted until about 4.
Ross came home for an hour or so before having to head out to a company sponsored Buka Puasa (Ramadan breaking of fast buffet). He came home again about 8.30 and we polished off the rest of the cupcake before heading to bed!
