Level 2 Beading

I did a few things around the house this morning before driving out to PJ for my beading class. Today we started Level 2 and only one other lady returned from last time. We did two projects today. The first was a wire weaving project making a dragonfly broach. I thought it turned out really well and can imagine making them in more realistic colours.

The second project was an "ethnic" necklace and matching earrings. Again, we used a wire weaving technique to create circles which we will link together with beads in the next lesson. I liked the colours I chose for this project and am interested to see the end result.

From beading I quickly ducked into Ikano to pick up some cat food before heading home. At home, I did a few more things before going over to Sonja's place for a cup of tea. We chatted for a couple of hours before I headed back home.

When Ross came home from work, we made some cauliflower soup and enjoyed it with a glass of wine. Afterwards, Ross did some more work while I finished off my beading homework; making the remaining rings for the necklace.
