Checking out Orchard Road

This morning I had breakfast, caught up on the news and then headed to the gym. I walked for 40 minutes and then did some light upper body work with free weights. It felt good to be at the gym again.

After a shower, I walked to Spinelli's again for a coffee. From there I wandered up Orchard Road in search of Strip! so I could get my arms waxed. On the way, I went into the new mall, ION Orchard and had a look around. It has all my favourite shops and lots of other new ones - I could spend a lot of time there!

I used the new underpass and walked to Wheelock Place and stopped at the Border's Cafe for lunch. They had a lunch deal so I had a side salad to start followed by a roast chicken leg with veggies and a diet coke all for S$15; a pretty good deal! I went into Border's and found some magazines to buy and added them to my ever expanding shopping bag (I had bought a top and dress in ION).

I went up and up and up the escalators to try and find Strip!. It was tucked away in a tiny corner on the top floor. I made a booking and they gave me a business card with all their branches, then I realised that there was an outlet much closer to where I am staying at Paragon.

From Wheelock Place, I started the walk back along Orchard looking in a few shops on the way back. I ended up at Paragon and went to Strip! there to make an appointment for tomorrow. I popped down to the supermarket and picked up a couple of things for dinner before heading back to the apartment.

I spoke with Ross, my friends Dee and Sue and my Dad before I got a chance to eat so I ended up having dinner about 9! I played a bit more Ice Age before heading to bed.
