A day of luxury!

This morning I woke up and drove over to Kate's place in time for us to go to the spa for our three hour "romance package". We arrived at Nourish and were given peppermint tea before being shown to the couples treatment room where I would have a massage first and Kate the facial.

Chris did the massage and was wonderful. It was nice just to have a relaxing massage for once rather than a full on deep muscle massage. He still managed to work on a few sore spots. Half way through, Chris switched with Kelly who had finished Kate's facial and now moved onto mine. The products that they used were beautiful! All organic and the facial was very relaxing and nourishing.

After the two hours, both Kate and I were in dream land. We donned our togs and robes and were shown outside to the sauna and jacuzzi. Despite being a miserable day outside, we felt pretty warm after the massage so although everything was out in the open, we didn't feel cold. We jumped into the sauna first to work up a sweat and get our core body temperatures up before moving to the jacuzzi where a fruit platter and bottle of champagne were waiting for us (the romance bit of the romance package!). So we lazed about in the bubbly warm water eating fruit and a few squares of chocolate and enjoying our champage.

I think we were in there for well over an hour as it was 1.30 by the time we got out. We got changed and said goodbye to Chris before walking down the road to The Black Olive for some lunch and to walk off the effects of the champagne! We enjoyed a healthy lunch and we both felt really relaxed and warm despite the gale forced winds outside.

I dropped Kate back to her house and headed home. I pretty much walked in the door, crawled into bed and started reading my book. Before long I was asleep. I slept for a good hour or more before waking up in time to get ready for dinner. About 5.30, we drove up to the Tea Tree Gully Hotel to meet up with Anne and Kristie for dinner.

It was great to see them again. Kristie is 5 months pregnant and as cute as a button although she says she feels as big as a house (so not true!). We caught up over a great dinner and coffees afterwards before heading home about 9. We watched a bit more TV before heading to bed.
