Getting back to normal

This morning Ross and I had a slow start and enjoyed breakfast together at the Coffee Bean before I dropped him at work. Back at home, I spent some time with the cats (Blue spent a couple of hours outside in his playpen) and then tried to catch up some more on my blog. I got sick of that so laid down on the bed to read my book. Black joined me and we promptly fell asleep. The three of us (Blue, Black and I) slept for a few hours before I was woken up by Blue meowing. I let him inside and went back to sleep (again the acts joined me – see photo).

I soon got too hot and moved into my bedroom where I cranked up the air-con and couldn’t help but fall asleep again! I was woken by the phone ringing, I was too drowsy to get up but I eventually stumbled out of bed. Not long after, Daisy walked through the door to pick up our drycleaning.

By this time it was about 4 so I plonked myself on the couch, tried to do a bit more of my blog and watched some TV. About 5, I thought I should try and get some dinner together. I scrounged the cupboards and managed to pull together a mince, spinach and pinenut pasta bake. I was just beginning to prepare it when Ross walked in the door.

We cooked dinner and ate it in front of the TV watching Jamie Oliver. After dinner, we forced ourselves to get up and go for a walk around the park. We did a couple of laps before heading home for a shower and to spend some more time with the cats.

We soon got tired again and fell into bed about 9.30. Although I didn’t do much today, it is nice to be home.
