Walking around Makati

After leaving Ross at the hotel to do some work, I headed out of the hotel and wandered around Makati - through the malls, down Makati Ave, Alaya Ave. In Greenbelt, I stopped in at the Alaya Museum to check out the exhibition. There was a great display of gold found throughout the Phillipines - jewellery, belts, bowls. It was all very well done.

On the lower floors of the museum, I ran into a school group in the diorama exhibition. Kids are always the same no matter where you are! I spent most of my time saying hello and telling them what my name was - very cute.

From the museum, I headed to the Museum Cafe for a salad and glass of white wine while looking out on the greenery and sculptures in the garden. A very nice way to spend the afternoon. The photo is of the gardens by the cafe.

Tara met us at the hotel and we walked to a pizza place in Greenbelt for dinner. It was a nice, early night.
